Nurture Yourself
The Buddhist call them "hungry ghosts": Those parts of ourselves we generally don't like very much. Nobody likes to be called needy, clingy, depressive or an angry person.
The truth is, these feelings are very often an expression of an underlying need that was never sufficiently attended to. So they keep coming back, over and over. Like hungry ghosts.
"Nurture Yourself" is a technique that is based on inviting the feelings we'd rather get rid of.
Attending to the ghosts that haunt us automatically makes them calmer. They turn from ugly, uncontrollable creatures into quiet, somewhat mellow and eventually even supportive phenomena.
All it takes is the courage to face what haunts us.
